The Mission
The diaconate formation program provides deacons with a deep, rich spiritual preparation before ordination. Afterwards, additional specialized training adds new dimensions to their ministry.
Professional, certified training is essential to the ongoing success of a deacon's outreach to people in need. This training can exceed $3000 for each individual program.
Suggested Programs
Clinical Pastoral Services Training
To provide in depth spiritual comfort, guidance, support, and counseling to patient's families and staff in times of physical, emotional, and end of life crisis.
Restorative Justice Training
To identify and to take steps to repair the harm caused or revealed by criminal behavior, accomplished through prison fellowship partners with local churches across the country.
Social Services Training
To strengthen and to prepare for the commitment to be agents of social transformation, including services such as campus ministry, youth and seniors.
These new skills enable the deacons to better serve people who experience hardship.
